Part of Prague Castle is free: the Castle complex itself (courtyards, lanes, squares) is free to enter; only the historical buildings need a ticket.

Before you go
How to actually get in for free
- Walking through the courtyards and lanes costs nothing - you only pay to go inside the buildings.
- Come early or late: the complex opens at 6:00 and stays open until 22:00, long after the buildings close.
- Circuit tickets are valid for two days, so you can split the buildings over two visits.
- On 28 Oct 2026 the whole area shuts at 15:00 for the state holiday.
