How to actually get in for free
- Under-18s and students of any nationality get in free with ID - no first-Sunday free day here, unlike the Chagall museum.
- The museum sits in the Cimiez Arènes garden next to the Roman ruins; bus 5 from the centre stops at 'Arènes / Musée Matisse'.
- Locker cloakroom is free but needs a €1 coin; backpacks and umbrellas must go in it.

Open every day except Tuesday: 10am-5pm from 1 November to 31 March, 10am-6pm from 1 April to 31 October. Ticket office closes 30 minutes before closing. Closed 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May and 25 December.
