Before you go

How to actually get in for free

  • The second Tuesday of the month is free for everyone; Wednesday is the closing day, not Tuesday.
  • County residents can come free any Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday after 3pm; Friday is the best choice because the museum stays open until 8pm.
  • EBT is accepted as a form of payment at LACMA, not as free entry, and only in person.
  • The Metro D Line now stops at Wilshire/Fairfax right next to the museum.
